2009 - 2010 DANCE PROGRAMS

INTERMEDIATE LEVELS (Ages 2 1/2 to 7) -- (50 minute class)
Classes designed to teach fundamentals and enhance the creative ability, coordination, emotional and social development of the child.

JUNIOR BALLET CLASSES --- (50 minute class)
These classes are designed to teach technique, proper body alignment, terminology and expression. Class includes barre, center floor work, combinations, classical and
modern ballet style.

SENIOR BALLET CLASSES --- (60 minute class)
A challenging Ballet Technique Class for the advanced and serious student. It will involve a high level of extensive, advanced study of ballet terminology and correct execution of modern, lyrical, freestyle and classical ballet.

POINTE --- Upon recommendation of teacher only.

JAZZ AND TAP --- (50 & 60 minute classes)
An exciting energetic class filled with barre stretch, warm up exercises for isolation & combination and routines to today's upbeat jazz music. Tap segment will emphasize speed, clarity of sound, rhythm and training in combination and routines.

JUNIOR & SENIOR DANCE COMPANIES --- (60 minute class)
These classes are designed for the advanced jazz and tap student. Emphasis is placed on professional performance, technique, artistic expression, self discipline and choreographic style and ability. Auditions may be required for new members. (60+ minute classes)

JR. HIP HOP CLASSES (Ages5 to 8) --- (50 minute class)

INT.HIP HOP CLASSES (Ages 9 to preteen) --- (60 minute class)
Learn the latest funky Hip Hop moves and combinations and routines. Full of street smart choreography

ADVANCED HIP HOP Classes----60 minutes

ADULT JAZZ & TAP --- (60 minute class)
A Combination class designed for adults only. Get in shape with our warm-up, across the floor, tap skills and jazz and tap combinations.

DANCE THERAPY --- ( 40 & 50 minute classes)
These classes are designed for special needs and handicapped individuals. This class will help your child develop better fine, gross and perceptual motor skills, flexibility and most important, a feeling of self worth and accomplishment that they will find in the joy of dance. Each student is individually assisted by a trained assistant under the direction of Mrs. Dolly.

 

GYMNASTIC -
Teaches basic tumbling skills. Includes warmup, rolls, splits, cartwheels, walkovers and much more.

ADULT ZUMBA -    (60 minute class)
A fun and energizing "fitness party" that gets you moving in a dance - aerobic workout with pulsating latin music. It's fun and a great way to lose weight, burn calories, pump muscles. energize and relieve stress. OPEN CLASS - $10.00 per class


ALL STUDENTS ARE PLACED IN CLASSES ACCORDING TO AGE AND ABILITY.

TUITION

REGISTRATION FEE ---
A $25.00 non-refundable registration fee for each student, per class, is required with the registration form to reserve a space in class.
ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS GIVEN. There will be a $5.00 discount for NEW registrations. (Expires Sept. 30, 2009)

PAYMENTS ---
Based on a total for approximately 36 weeks and then divided into nine monthly payments.  Tuition is due on the first class of each month and will remain the same for each month whether it is a three, four or five week month regardless of students attendance. There will be a $10.00 late fee if payment is not received the first week of each month. There will be a $25.00 fee for checks returned from the bank.

Therapy Classes:

POLICES--
• ATTENDANCE - Students are expected to be punctual for their class and with proper attire.
• Please notify the studio if student will not be attending class.
• ABSENCES/MAKEUPS - NO CREDIT OR REFUNDS given for missed classes. If studio cancels due to inclement weather, we will re-shedule a makeup class.
• CANCELLATIONS - We are not always closed on school holidays, vacations and snow days. If inclement weather forces us to close, we will contact you by phone. D.D.W DOES NOT CLOSE during scheduled school vacations.

ANNUAL DANCE PRODUCTION ---
Our annual dance production is the ultimate goal of every student's hard work and dedication throughout the year. We run a full scale production with professional sound and lighting technicians, props, backdrops and special effects. By participating in the shows, the students learn cooperation, stage directions, stage personality and most important, the opportunity to express their talents and achievements. A complete outline will be given to each student in January with details regaurding our production The performance dates will be announced at that time. All students are expected to participate in all rehearsals and performances.

COSTUMES ---
A $40.00 deposit for each costume will be required from every student by November 3, 2008 ABSOLUTLY NO REFUNDS GIVEN. Once recital costumes have been ordered, you are responsible for full costume payment regardless if student withdrawls from class prior to recital. Remaining costume balances must be paid no later than January 2009 Recital costumes are given to students only after the yearly tuition and costume balance has been paid in full.

STUDIO LIABILITY ---
The studio and instructor are not liable for personal injuries or for personal propery loss or damage. Students and/or parents are individually reponsible to inform the instructor or the studio of any physical limitations which may prevent full participation in studio activities.
